The letter my grandfather wrote to my grandmother that came with an engagement ring. She hated wearing rings, so she never wore the ring once, but kept this letter with her wherever she went; at all times for 60 years. It’s still in really good condition. My father and I read it for the first time last week and we were blown away by my grandfather’s romantic words! Who knew he was such a romantic =)
It says something along the lines of (and I need to get my dad to directly translate it again for me) “Spring has come and I hope that like the flowers and the trees we grow together hand in hand. This ring may not last forever but my love for you will.” And a bit more but I’ll clarify later. Sighhh…..
